Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn Sedgwick (born August 19, 1965) is an American producer, actress and director. Her role as the main character on the crime drama TNT The Closer as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson is her most famous. Sedgwick earned an award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her performance as Johnson as well as an Emmy Award 2010 for her portrayal. The series ended after its seventh season. Sedgwick's role as Madeline Wuntch in the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine is also noteworthy. Sedgwick was nominated to the Golden Globe for her role in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film roles include Oliver Stone's Born to the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's singles (1992), Heart and Souls(93), Phenomenon (1996) and What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald who worked as an therapist for speech and family, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick IV who was a venture capitalist. Her birthplace was in New York City. Her mother, who was Jewish, was of English and Episcopalian descent. Sedgwick has declared that she's Jewish and participates in Passover dinners.
